The Sarbanes-Oxley specification of „segregation of duties“ is implemented in AS-Lingo.

Access Protection
AS-Lingo supports all aspects of security such as user authentication
(e.g. passwords) and user authorisation (e.g. administration of access rights) on the basis of role based rules.

Role based Access Protection
Roles are rules which grant or deny access to objects or functions. Roles can be defined by the user administrator. One or more roles can be assigned to a user. The user is thereby given the access authority of those rules.
In the navigation tree view, the user is offered the functionality to which he/she is authorised.

Passwords
Passwords are encrypted. A password must have at least 6 characters and numeric digits. We also advise the use of special characters for security reasons. A password must be renewed within 90 days. The last ten Passwords must not be reused.

After 3 wrong login attempts, the user will be completely disabled. Idle time out time can be set by the administrator.
An interface to “Web-Single-Login”-System is available.

Access Logging
All changes to sensitive data in the system are logged. Audit-Reports of the history of any of these changes can be created by the user showing what was changed when and by whom.

A scheduling System allows you to process most Transactions and Functions as background jobs scheduled to run at predefined dates and times. These jobs can also be chained to a group of jobs, each initiating the next in the chain if completed successfully.

2014 is AS-Lingo’s 15th anniversary

In recognition of the non-future of applications on the legacy mainframe systems with their green on black display terminals, ASK began to rewrite IBM’s Interactive Financial System (IFS) on a technologically “best of”, open Java JEE client/server platform in 1999.

Since then, AS-Lingo has gone through several releases including enhancements on it’s way to becoming a major player in the ERP marketplace.
